Arvo Pärt
Arvo Pärt (; born 11 September 1935) is an Estonian composer of classical and sacred music. Since the late 1970s, Pärt has worked in a minimalist style that employs his self-invented compositional technique, tintinnabuli. His music is in part inspired by Gregorian chant. Pärt has been the most performed living composer in the world for 5 consecutive years.

Arvo Pärt
Arvo Pärt (* 11. September 1935 in PaideEstland) ist ein estnischer Komponist, der als einer der bedeutendsten lebenden Komponisten neuer Musik gilt. Er hat die österreichische Staatsbürgerschaft. Von 1981 bis 2008 lebte er in Berlin.

Dopo gli esordi, in cui il suo linguaggio utilizzava tecniche come la dodecafonia ed il collage, fu coniato proprio per la sua musica il termine di minimalismo sacro, di cui è un riconosciuto esponente assieme ad autori come Henryk Górecki e John Tavener. È un compositore apprezzato soprattutto per la semplicità dell'ascolto e la trasparenza emotiva delle sue opere.
